A small building on the right bank of the Bévéra, on the way to Sospel, this chapel acted as a barrier against epidemics.
Saint Sébastien, a saint invoked to protect against the plague, watched over this access to the village via the path leading up from the coast. It's also worth noting that this shrine is close to a bridge that crosses the river just below. Places of worship are often associated with the crossing of a river. A river crossing is always dangerous, and the chapel was there to protect the traveler.

  • head for the Saint-Sébastien district on leaving the village on the RD 2566 road towards Sospel.
    Cross the Roubine bridge over the Peira-Cava river, then shortly afterwards, on the left of the road, take a wide gravel path (marker 20) leading to the Chapelle Saint Sébastien.
