Historical drama. Cast: Russell Crowe, Rami Malek, Richard E. Grant. Washington, 1945. Hitler has committed suicide, Germany has surrendered and the Allies are holding 22 Nazi officers, including Hermann Göring, the Third Reich's top officer.
Unlike his colleagues, who were in favor of executing them, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson had them brought before an international court. A year before the opening of the Nuremberg trial, Jackson commissioned Douglas Kelley, an American army psychiatrist, to assess the defendants. Assisted by his translator, Kelley set to work, focusing on the case of Reichsmarschall Göring, a narcissistic pervert who engaged in a cat-and-mouse game with him.
