A trail that extends the experience of the castle-museum with its panorama, wildlife and history
In the exceptional setting of the Tourrette-Levens castle ridge, a new discovery trail has been created.
The employees of the castle-museum, Lionel Carles and Ugo Meloni, designed and built it during the lockdown when the museum was closed to the public. After months of work, the path was inaugurated by the mayor Bertrand Gasiglia in the presence of many elected officials on Saturday 24 July.
Measuring 700 metres round trip, the path invites visitors to discover the 22 species of plants naturally present on the site. All along the path, explanatory panels allow the curious to learn more about the flora that surrounds them.
This trail also offers an exceptional panorama with new views of the village and the castle.
The visit is open to all, but please bring suitable footwear.
