These days, seeing Nice and the French Riviera as more than just a postcard image—idyllic and dreamt of by the whole world—is no easy feat. For the city of Nice—as much Alpine as it is maritime—is by no means limited to the yellow of the caressing sun, nor to the azure blue of the murmuring sea, like the proverbial "clothes don't make the man."
