Sports Nautiques Villefranchois - Aviron

Rowing is a complete gliding sport that does not traumatise the joints and is recognised by the medical profession. It allows everyone to keep in shape as they wish, whether for leisure, endurance or competition. It can be practised at all ages, all year round, solo, double or 4x, in the magnificent setting of the harbour, but also in the surrounding area.
The SVN plays a full part in the community and sporting life of Villefranche-sur-Mer by regularly organising sporting and festive events throughout the year, including rowing excursions followed by picnics or meals depending on the season, much to the delight of its members.
Every October, the club also organises the Régate de la rade, a 500m rowing race along the Marinières beach, in which neighbouring clubs such as Nice, Menton, Toulon and Le Verdon take part.
Finally, the presence of a large number of medical staff in our group has led us to take an interest in disability, particularly the iatrogenic disability of patients treated for breast cancer. Posters and flyers have been produced and distributed to treatment facilities for their information.
