Verdun Garden
This garden was designed in the late 1960s (1965 to 1968) under the name “Jardin de Pierre Longue,” during the creation of Port Canto. On February 21, 1971, the city of Cannes renamed this green space “Square de Verdun.”
Botanical Highlights:
The vegetation mainly consists of palm trees, umbrella pines, tamarisks, and Ginkgo biloba.
Noteworthy is the presence, along the section bordering Boulevard de la Croisette, of Brahea armata — palm trees with bluish foliage and very slow growth.
