It is a wonderful place where order does not exclude fantasy. A garden saturated with perfumes, bird songs and sensuality, he hesitates between wild luxuriance and skillfully calculated austerity.

Its owner, William Waterfield, is the last representative of the great English gardeners of Menton. With a surface area of half a hectare, roughly square in shape, the property is an enclosed space, closed on the south side by the villa and surrounded by high stone walls on the other three sides.

The villa, with its faded colors, is drowned in the vegetation and is characterized by a long colonnaded gallery, one half of which is decorated with a magnificent and very old wisteria. The other half, converted into a terrace, is a living space where one can sit to chat and have tea. Above this gallery, on the façade, in a slightly eccentric position, hangs a balcony that resembles a theater box.
