The 1970s, open microphones, utopian debates: when the past questions our present with humour and nostalgia.
In a 1970s radio studio, two presenters who are ‘cultural experts’ host ‘Le Casque et l'Enclume’ (The Helmet and the Anvil), a live radio show broadcast in front of a live audience. In a smoke-filled atmosphere reminiscent of Bernard Pivot's television sets, they debate what theatre, the world of culture and French society will be like fifty years later... that is, today! Where have the utopias of the Cultural Revolution gone, which fervently, joyfully and violently demanded more liberty, equality and fraternity?
‘Le Casque et l'Enclume’ is a series of programmes (radio or conference-style) that adapts to the evolution of our contemporary society – because it is indeed about talking about our era through the joyful lens of another era.
