The former Hôtel des Anges became the new town hall in 1933, the municipality having purchased this former private mansion.
The most visited room in the Hôtel de Ville is the salle des mariages, known as the salle Bellini, where 5 of the artist's works depict the joie de vivre of Le Cannet. Like all his paintings, they are sincere, spontaneous, cheerful and colorful. He himself says that the essence of his work is the accumulation of impressions and sensations recorded and felt, at a time when nothing seemed destined to make him a painter.
