Valescure Golf Course

725 avenue des golfs, 83700 Saint-Raphaël
Created in 1895 by British aristocrats, Valescure Golf course, surrounded by parasol pines, is the oldest course in Var and the fifth oldest in France.
With a length of 5,019 metres and a par of 68, the course's design by the famous architect Harry Shapland Colt (1869 - 1951) has the unusual feature of consisting of several relatively short holes, which, at first sight, may make it appear easy to negotiate. The impression is misleading, however, because in fact the narrowness of the fairways, the difficult rough, the numerous water hazards and the rather small greens are all elements that require constant reflection and discernment in the choice of clubs. You have to sacrifice length for precision.

As part of its commitment to the environment, the club has been awarded the "Bronze Label" by the French Golf Federation (FFG). An award that validates the good practices of the Old Course in terms of preserving its flora and fauna, but also in terms of raising awareness of biodiversity issues among players.
