Created in the United States, brunch takes its name from the contraction of the words ‘breakfast’ and ‘lunch’. Traditionally served as a buffet, Côte d’Azur residents love to gather around a big table every weekend. From Monaco to Cannes, via Nice and Antibes, here’s a selection of good places to enjoy a delicious brunch on the Côte d’Azur!

HOTEL CARLTON IN CANNES

An exceptional brunch in the heart of one of the Croisette’s legendary hotels!

Located in the famous Hôtel Carlton, the Restaurant Riviera offers every Sunday a quality buffet of sweet and savoury dishes that are as gourmet as they are original.

This Sunday rendezvous “Made in Carlton” is accompanied by a trio of musicians on hand to liven up the meal, which can be enjoyed on one of the two terraces offering a breathtaking view of the Croisette.

There are three different formulas depending on the season:

“Spring in Italy” from 24 March to 26 May 2024: €125 excluding drinks.

“The Carlton Grill” from 2 June to 15 September 2024: €165 excluding drinks.

“Indian Summer” from 22 September to 17 November 2024: €125 excluding drinks.

    Looking for a 100% sea view brunch?

    Located between Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the Royal Riviera and its restaurant, theJasmin Grill & Lounge, offers an advantageous location to enjoy a sophisticated brunch every Sunday.

    On-site, a refined buffet by the pool with a breathtaking view of the Baie des Fourmis. On the menu are seasonal produce, fish tartars and pastries.

    For €69, the formula includes the buffet, a hot dish and hot drinks. Brunch is available all year round, except in July and August.

    Le Paseo, a colourful address that’s a must at Cap d’Antibes!

    Nestled in a green setting, le Paseo de l’Hôtel Juana offers brunch every Sunday in its cosy restaurant with colourful decor, which overlooks a secret garden in the heart of the Côte d’Azur.

    The formula on offer at €59 offers a wide choice of pastries, salads and seafood, as well as show cooking for dessert. A hot drink and fresh fruit juice accompany this gourmet meal!

    A children’s menu at €29 is also available for children aged between 4 and 11

      MONTE-CARLO BAY IN MONACO

      With its panoramic view over the lagoon and gardens, here’s a nice address for brunch in Monaco.

      Every Sunday, the legendary Hôtel Monte-Carlo Bay offers, in its restaurant the Blue Bay rated 1 star in the Michelin Guide, the “Champagne Brunch Party”.

      At his whim, Chef Marcel Ravin offers a bold and colourful cuisine, a true fusion of Caribbean and Mediterranean flavours, with a buffet formula at €135 with Taittinger Cuvée Prestige champagne at discretion, all in a dream setting offering a panoramic view of the lagoon and gardens.

      Unique views and gourmet delights at Bella Bay

      On the top floor of Galeries Lafayette Nice Masséna is where the Bella Brunch takes place every Sunday.

      This gourmet and healthy brunch offers brunch timelessness and original creations signed Bella Bay. All in a festive atmosphere with a live music voice provided by the Nice-based group Storytellers.

      To enjoy this fresh, homemade brunch, cost €32 excluding drinks. Note, the restaurant boasts an incredible view of Place Masséna.

        Terre Blanche in Tourrettes

        The art of brunching: Terre Blanche

        Perched in the heights, 5-star hotel Terre Blanche is offering Sunday brunches until 26 May in its Restaurant La Gaudina.

        There’s a Mediterranean buffet with fish, charcuterie, quiches and a farandole of desserts. All cooked with fresh, regional and seasonal produce and to be enjoyed on the terrace, in the restaurant or on its patio!

        For €85, the curious can enjoy the buffet, the oyster bar and a glass of champagne. Water and coffee are also included. For children under 12, a 50% discount applies.

          In a pleasant and warm setting, here’s an address where to brunch in Nice!

          From Wednesday to Sunday, Kililie’s, a restaurant specialising in brunches, welcomes Côte d’Azur residents to gather around home-cooked dishes from 9.30am to 4pm.

          For €29.50, gourmands can enjoy a savoury dish and a sweet dish of their choice accompanied by a hot and a cold drink.

          This establishment mixes brunch classics with Mediterranean specialities with their focaccia or their original socca waffle.

              À la recherche d’une adresse pour un brunch en Principauté de Monaco ?

              Situé dans les anciens locaux de Radio Monte-Carlo (des vestiges sont d’ailleurs exposés aux 4 coins de l’établissement), l’Hôtel Novotel Monte-Carlo propose dans son Novotel Café un brunch à volonté tous les premiers dimanches du mois ainsi que les jours fériés (Nouvel an, Pâques, …).               En famille ou entre amis, voici une adresse où bruncher dans le Vieux-Nice.

              Tous les dimanches, direction le Vieux-Nice pour les « bruncheurs ». Au Café du Marché ils y trouvent un menu complet et gourmand dans un lieu discret et convivial où familles et amis partagent un moment de simple plaisir. Sur chaque table, le menu du jour, où l’on retrouve des propositions de plats et de douceurs qui s’adaptent chaque semaine aux fruits et légumes du Marché Saleya à deux pas.
