FRAGONARD PERFUMER
X
CÔTE D'AZUR FRANCE

Perfumers in Grasse since 1926, the House of Fragonard shares a close bond with the scents of the Côte d’Azur.

From the sea spray on the shores of the Mediterranean to the flower-filled hills of the hinterland, everything is a source of inspiration for the creation of Fragonard fragrances, in the great tradition of French perfumery. So it’s only logical that Côte d’Azur France should join forces with the House of Fragonard to bring you these original creations, celebrating the emblematic fragrances of the South and the expertise of Grasse, recognised by UNESCO in 2018.

Fragonard Parfumeur: a legendary house

Perfumes that smell good
of the Côte d’Azur

The House of Fragonard, in symbiosis with the bewitching fragrances of the Côte d’Azur, draws infinite inspiration from the sea spray, the floral hills and the jasmine that is emblematic of the Côte d’Azur region.

Côte d’Azur France eau de toilette, imbued with the delicacy and power of jasmine picked at dawn, embodies this unique essence.

To capture the charismatic essence of the Côte d’Azur, the Côte d’Azur France range also includes a soap scented with Mimosa, evoking the sweetness of the flowers, and a home fragrance diffuser with the bewitching scent of rose, sovereign of the Grasse hills.

Let yourself be transported on an olfactory journey where the House of Fragonard celebrates the art of perfumery in the purest French tradition, revealing the fragrant treasures of the Côte d’Azur.

On the Côte d'Azur for almost 100 years

A Grasse family tradition

Parfumerie Fragonard was founded in 1926. The choice of the name of the famous painter of Grasse origin, Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806), was a tribute that Eugène Fuchs, founder of the company, wanted to pay to the town of Grasse, which had welcomed him and his family.

The spirit of the House was faithfully perpetuated by the next three generations who took up the reins of the company. On their initiative, new production and sales units were created in Grasse and Eze, as well as in Paris. It was Jean-François Costa who set about modernising the company.

A great lover of art, in the 1970s he brought together his collections of objects linked to the history of perfumery to create the Grasse museum and two museum-boutiques in Paris. This initiative contributed to Fragonard’s already flourishing prosperity, while adding a cultural dimension.

Today, it is his daughters, Agnès and Françoise, who manage the destiny of the House. Fragonard’s craftsmanship has been passed down through the generations, offering perfumes and beauty products of excellence.
