Maison Gannac is a family-run business based in Menton, France, which has specialised in producing top-quality lemons since 1929.

The company uses lemons – the well-known and widely recognised symbol of Menton – to create gourmet products, including jams, syrups, liqueurs, chocolates, soaps and perfumes. It also has a museum dedicated to the history and culture of the lemon and is committed to protecting the environment and local biodiversity.

At Domaine Gannac, Laurent cultivates around thirty species and varieties of citrus fruit, ranging from Menton lemons (PGI) to kumquats, including yuzu, fine Corsican clementines, grapefruit and caviar lemons…

Any product can be truly magnificent, provided one knows how to listen to it. This has been Adrien’s philosophy ever since he joined his father. It can be summed up in a single equation: how to take citrus – a fruit that has been taken for granted for far too long, and whose season we no longer recognise – and transform it from the ordinary into something extraordinary!

The Menton lemon is the result of a successful combination of a latitude that is already very far north for this crop (Menton is the northernmost area where this citrus fruit is grown) and a local microclimate that protects it from frost. The Menton lemon is also described as a ‘four-season’ variety. This term is justified by its very abundant flowering in spring, which resumes in summer and continues strongly again in late autumn.
