When chef Luc Salsedo, owner of a restaurant in Nice, improvised some crisps with what he had left of socca, the famous chickpea flour cake from Nice, the feedback from the first customers was unanimous.

The chef went on to perfect the recipe until he obtained a crisp with the authentic flavour of socca, original, different, unique and made from 100% natural ingredients: Socca Chips® was born!

Ten years after the creation of this irresistible crisp, Luc Salsedo and Côte d’Azur France are teaming up for a limited edition of the original Socca Chips®!

The colourful, positive and dynamic illustration on the pack – created by artist Eric Garence – features the famous Cours Saleya market and, of course, the socca seller. And for those in the know, a clue is hidden on the hill of the Château. Once again, a fine local tradition that, among other things, rings in the hour of the aperitif.

You’ll find this limited edition in a number of outlets on the Côte d’Azur and throughout France: delicatessens, greengrocers, supermarkets and hypermarkets, as well as on the Socca Chips® online shop.

With Socca Chips®, I’m continuing the journey of our rich culinary traditions, which are recognised the world over. One of these traditions is socca, our chickpea flour cake cooked over a wood fire, which is the epitome of sharing and conviviality, and a real treat for the taste buds!
