Plunge into the world of the great painters

What a pleasure to be carried away by theart of the great masters!

At the Musée Picasso in Antibes, you can enter the artist’s imagination with a family treasure hunt entitled “Where have the fauns gone?To extend the adventure, the fun tourIn the footsteps of Picasso” ends with a still life creation workshop, so that everyone can leave with their own interpretation of the artist.

As for the Musée Renoir in Cagnes-sur-Mer, it offers guided tours and a workshop visit for children, to discover the artist’s life at Les Collettes and to slip into Renoir’s shoes for a moment.

And if you want to feel the vibrant energy of colour, head to the Musée Fernand Léger in Biot, where guided tours and creative workshops based around colour will take you on a whirlwind of emotions!

A journey between artists from near and far

The Côte d’Azur has a special way of taking us on a journey through different cultures and eras, as we explore its museums.

At the Musée Jean Cocteau – Le Bastion in Menton, young visitors are given a booklet of fun and educational games to help them discover the poet’s world, with colouring in, riddles and little enigmas for the whole family to solve.

In Nice, the Villa Arson welcomes us for an acrobatic performance inspired by Calder’s circus and a MAMAC workshop to make colourful mobiles, fresh moments where we can discoverart in movement, as a family.

Destination Mougins, where the FAMM invites young and old alike to take part in storytelling tours around the “REMINISCENCE” exhibition: guided by the mediators, we can imagine together the stories hidden behind the paintings to share some real moments of complicity.

Finally, at the Musée Magnelli in Vallauris Golfe-Juan, you can slip into the shoes of a detective and take up the challenge of the escape game “Au secours, on a volé un Magnelli“, a life-size investigation game in the heart of the collections. An inspiring journey awaits you, whether you’re anart enthusiast, a lover of local treasures or curious about nature.

This weekend promises to be an immersive experience full of sensations, ready to arouse all our emotions!

Moments to share with the family

As part of the Mon week-end aux Musées! event, the Côte d’Azur’s museums are vying with each other to offer us memories we can share together.

For example, the Musée International de la Parfumerie in Grasse takes us behind the scenes of conservation and olfactory mediation: we can visit the storerooms and discover how precious bottles and boxes are preserved, before letting ourselves be guided by perfumes on a journey dedicated to scents.

At Monaco’s Oceanographic Museum, you can literally plunge into the heart of a protected marine area thanks to the ImmerSEAveVR virtual reality experience, before extending your discovery with a riddle hunt or a tactile encounter with the animals of the seaside.

For a fun-filled experience, why not take part in the “Drôles de mimesworkshop at Fort Carré d’Antibes, where you mime the actions of soldiers before transforming them into colourful scenes on paper? Laughter and smiles guaranteed!

As for the Trophée d’Auguste in La Turbie, the building takes us back in time with the “Clever as a Romanconstruction workshop, where you can handle models and tools to understand the secrets of the great builders of Antiquity.

With its rich programme of discoveries, Mon week-end aux Musées ! promises an unforgettable experience throughart that will delight young and old alike.

Art meets history

Exploring the history of the Côte d’Azur while creating is what we love to do in these fun and creative workshops.

At the Château de Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, an investigation booklet entitled “Les secrets du donjon” guides young and old on an offbeat treasure hunt to unravel the mysteries of this fortress with a singular history.

Head for Fort Carré in Antibes, where you can create a mosaic inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of the Côte d’Azur.

Art for all, an unforgettable experience

My Weekend at the Museums! is a promise: to experienceart differently, together, and to leave with stars in your eyes. Whether you’re passionate about guided tours of the Château-Musée Grimaldi or the Musée Renoir in Cagnes-sur-Mer, or fascinated by the discovery of the Fragonard collection during “Culture & Olfaction” at the Musée du Parfum in Grasse, there’s something to feed your curiosity.

Looking for an unusual experience? At the Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the “Tous amis” animation invites everyone to choose a character from the works donated by the Société des Amis, draw it and then post their creation on Instagram, identifying @fondationmaeght and #FondationMaeght #CotedAzurFrance #MonWeekEndAuxMusees! The prize is a one-year “Solo” membership for the 30ᵉ message sent: enough to extend the adventure well beyond the weekend!

With these two exceptional days, Mon Weekend aux Musées! opens the doors to art by offering us privileged moments where we marvel, let ourselves be surprised and find ourselves again.
