Street art in Grasse :

The 2nd Urban Poetry Festival this summer!

A never-before-seen artistic celebration in Grasse

This summer, Grasse welcomes the second edition of the Festival Poésie Urbaine, a never-before-seen and creative celebration of street art from July 1 to August 31, 2025. Initiated at the request of Jérôme Viaud, Mayor of Grasse, and orchestrated by two iconic figures in the field, Nasty and Pascal Langlais, this festival promises to leave its mark and redefine the urban space of the world’s perfume capital.

A duo of visionary creators

Nasty and Pascal Langlais, creators of the festival, embody the balance between two complementary worlds.

Nasty, a graffiti artist who pioneered street art in France, contributes his technical expertise and sharp eye, while Pascal Langlais, gallery owner and curator, brings an essential curatorial dimension.

For this first edition of the Festival Poésie Urbaine in Grasse, they have devised an editorial line around the theme “Flower Power”, fusing urban art with the city’s perfumed tradition.

Their vision is to create a bridge between past and present, by selecting artists whose work resonates with this theme, in order to democratise street art in an exceptional setting.

A place transformed into an open-air museum

The former Rolland garage, located on Place Martelly, has been transformed into a veritable open-air museum.

This huge concrete structure, once disused, has been metamorphosed into an ultra-trendy cultural venue before its future rehabilitation as a car park.

In just five days and five nights, twelve international graffiti artists took up the challenge of transforming this raw space into a centre of artistic attraction.

The walls, now covered in colourful frescoes and vibrant artwork, tell fascinating stories and capture the imagination of visitors, offering a total immersion into the world of street art.

This bold project has not only revitalised a derelict site, but has also put the area on the map of must-see cultural destinations.

Internationally renowned artists

The artists, selected for their exceptional talent and striking personalities, all have legitimacy acquired on the street long before urban art was universally recognised. Their work, exhibited in the world’s major capitals, is living testimony to their commitment and passion for street art.

In Grasse, they have made the walls their own, creating XXL ephemeral works with supercharged graphics, all inspired by the theme of Flower Power.

This cultural initiative, open to everyone, is an invitation to discover and experience urban art in a new light. As they stroll through the town, the public are invited to open their eyes wide, for an unforgettable visual experience.

The Urban Poetry Festival, by bringing together internationally renowned artists and local talent, transforms Grasse into an accessible and inspiring open-air art gallery.
