NICE, A PIONEER TERRITORY IN STREET ART

Did you know that the founding father of street art was from Nice? Often described as a humanist and a rebel, Ernest Pignon-Ernest has been renowned for over 50 years for his committed works.

Today, numerous creations showcase the diversity and richness of Nice’s graffiti artists. Like “Gaïa et ses papillons”, the first street art graff by the famous Otom.

Under the tunnel of the stade Allianz Riviera, a brilliant tribute is paid to the OGC Nice club by six renowned artists.

Scale mural performances and participatory workshops take centre stage at this International Urban Art Festival held every All Saints’ Day holiday. See you from 18 October to 1 November 2025 in Antibes for the “Coul’heures d’Automne”!

In fact, the aim of the event is to promote urban art while involving local residents.

This innovative creative process, which is unique in the area, thus gives another vision of the Antibes environment and highlights art in the public space.

From the roads along the beaches to the alleyways of Old Antibes, nineteen large-scale works have been created by leading artists on the Côte d’Azur Street Art scene.

AT THE HEART OF URBAN ART IN GRASSE

Recognised as a Town of Art and History, Grasse highlights culture and art in all its forms. At the entrance to the town, the traverse de la gare reflects the identity of the town.

Illuminated by the talent of local artist Clément Dixneuf, it offers pedestrians a contemplative pause along the route to the town centre. The women picking the flowers in the fields stand alongside the vats of Grasse’s biggest perfume factories in which they will finish their work. Poetic as can be!

This summer, Grasse is hosting the second edition ofUrban Poetry Festival, an original and creative celebration of street art from1 July to 31 August 2025. Created between 5 and 13 June, the works will be on view throughout the summer.

Orchestrated by two iconic figures in the field, Nasty and Pascal Langlais, this festival promises to make a mark and redefine the urban space of the world’s perfume capital by fusing urban art with the city’s fragrant tradition.

IN LA COLLE-SUR-LOUP, STREET ART IS INVITED ALL YEAR LONG

In 2025, the Festival La Colle-sur-Love, from February 8 to March 1, becomes a benchmark for street art on the Côte d’Azur. Under the artistic direction of Anthony Alberti, aka Mr One Teas, a dozen French artists will create around twenty live works, offering an immersive artistic experience.

The festival also features lectures, workshops for children and adults, and live painting sessions throughout the month. These activities aim to bring the public closer to urban art and involve them directly in the creative process.

Outside the festival, La Colle-sur-Loup exhibits permanent works by Faben and César Malfi, as well as Eric Garence’s impressive anamorphic staircase, all year round. In this way, the town becomes an open-air museum, celebrating urban art and attracting street-art enthusiasts to the Côte d’Azur.

The Festival d’art de Massoins, eagerly awaited by street art fans, returns on 28 June 2025!
