THE ART OF “BUBBLED GLASS”: A ONE-OF-A-KIND MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Did you know? All the creations leaving the Verrerie de Biot are formed using bicarbonate of soda between two layers of hot glass. The latest innovations are luminescence, glass that shines in the dark; bubbled glass, which has been frosted (to make it opaque); and even the addition of resin around bubbled glass. This is how modernity takes its place in an old craft that retains its traditions, as does the image of the Côte d’Azur, full of both heritage and innovation.
