Born in 2006, the Festival International de la Gastronomie has even convinced world-renowned chefs! From Marc Veyrat to Philippe Etchebest and Anne-Sophie Pic, they have all responded and presided over an edition of this festival where tastings, demonstrations and competitions take place over a weekend all over the old village… Unique know-how and a unique event, now also acclaimed abroad since the Etoiles de Mougins arrived in Italy in 2019.

THE GOURMAND’EZE GASTRONOMY FESTIVAL IN EZE!

On the program: culinary and artistic performances, workshops, demonstrations and tastings…

In October with an enthusiastic public the village of Eze is transformed into a theatre of taste, where there are three days of excellence, competitions and demonstrations to ensure a gourmet show. Some 80 chefs climb the cobbled streets of this village on the Côte d’Azur known for its spectacular views and Michelin starred restaurants. Among them, prestigious chefs such as Michel Roth and Christian Le Squer as well as Michelin starred chefs, winners of the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France competition, master restaurateurs and new talents in the world of French gastronomy…

KERMESSE AUX POISSONS IN THÉOULE

For 23 years, Théoule-sur-Mer has been honouring the sea through a gastronomic event that involves numerous restaurateurs.

Every February, they reveal their specialities, through an « all fish » menu comprising 8 dishes. Hot starters, cold starters, several courses, cheese or dessert, wines, water and coffee, everything is included in their set menus which tantalize the taste buds with ocean flavours. The Kermesse aux Poissons begins with an opening event where fish soup and sardinade are offered to residents.

CELEBRATING CANNES’ CUISINE

« Good cooking is the basis of true happiness » said the famous Côte d’Azur chef Auguste Escoffier.

On the Forville market, in March, local producers, chefs, confectioners, fishmongers, bakers, etc. come together to defend the culinary identity of Cannes. For 15 days, more than fifty restaurateurs and specialists propose specialities in their establishments, with the name Cannes and made from ingredients sourced in the Baie de Cannes and the Pays de Lérins. Tarte cannoise, gravlax made with bonito caught in the Baie de Cannes or Saint-Honorat are now part of the culinary heritage of Cannes’ celebrated cuisine.

CHEFS TAKE TO THE MOUNTAINS IN AURON

A delicious gastronomic program to take gourmets from the Côte d’Azur to the mountain tops!

For the last 8 years in January, Côte d’Azur chefs have climbed up to the snowy peaks of Auron for the Festival de la Gastronomie en Montagne. For one week, in pairs they go into high altitude restaurants to demonstrate their creativity in menus with mountain flavours. A multitude of culinary activities is proposed: a giant barbecue on the snowy slopes, workshops or tastings with chocolate fondue or seasonal “galettes des rois”. In Auron, taste buds have nothing to fear!
