LA COLMIANE ZIPLINE, THE BIGGEST ZIPLINE IN FRANCE
Have you always dreamt of flying like a bird? This is now possible with the zipline descent. The principle is extremely simple. Two points are linked by a cable, on which you will slide thanks to the pulley connected to your harness. At the La Colmiane zipline, enjoy an adrenaline experience! Thanks to the system in place, you will be laying flat during the full speed descent.
During your slide, you will have the choice between two zipline routes:
- Line 1: 1,879 m with an average angle of 13.5%.
- Line 2: 784 m with an average angle of 6.5%.
In order to make the descent in complete safety, you will be fitted with a harness and a pair of safety goggles. You will have to be weighed, in order to determine the size of your parachute. This will help you to brake your runaway descent at your point of arrival. Once the safety instructions have been given, you’re ready for the grand voyage!
When you are launched into the air, the adrenaline surge will be felt throughout your body. The first seconds are impressive, then you will get used to the downhill sensations. You will reach a top speed that could be nearly 120 kph before starting to slow down. The view before your eyes is quite simply sublime. Snowy summits, lakes and Mercantour National Park are revealed as you progress. After 1 minutes and 50 seconds in flight, you’ll reach your arrival point, starry eyed!
