Beuil-Les Launes: Where Medieval Tradition and Winter Sports Meet

Nestling in an unspoilt environment, Beuil-Les Launes combines a picturesque medieval village with a dynamic ski area. Beuil-Les Launes: the Alpine jewel next to Valberg

Located in the heart of Beuil-Les Launes, a picturesque medieval village, you’ll be won over by the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. This versatile resort, open in both summer and winter, generously shares its ski area with neighbouring Valberg. Nestling between 1430 and 2100 metres in altitude, this Alpine jewel offers no fewer than 55 downhill ski runs, totalling an impressive 90 kilometres of snow-covered slopes. You can take 25 ski lifts, including 7 chairlifts, to explore this ski area with its varied landscapes that will delight fans of both skiing and snowboarding.

For beginners looking for their first gliding sensations, the 11 green runs are the ideal playground. Intermediate skiers will have the opportunity to perfect their turns on the 13 blue runs, downhill after downhill. The more experienced skiers will love the 22 red runs and 6 black runs, alternating between tight turns and daring curves, at the heart of a ski area that offers a wide range of winter pleasures.

Put on your après-skis!

Adventure seekers can try their hand at snowboarding, cross-country skiing or snowmobiling. For those in search of relaxation, spas and thermal baths await you to recharge your batteries after a day on the slopes.

Snowshoe trekking, dog-sledding and quad biking offer exciting alternatives for those wishing to explore the surrounding winter beauty without skis.

Not to be missed: fat biking in Beuil. This is your chance to discover the resort in a unique way, thanks to oversized tyres designed for the snow. Distance: 3 km. Difference in altitude: 200 m.
Departure point: Beuil-Les Launes, Col de Sainte-Anne (1551 metres).

An easy hike to the Saint-Jean plateau offers views of the Cians peaks, with a stop at the restored 19th-century Saint-Jean-Baptiste chapel, where the tradition of blessing the flocks during the annual pilgrimage in June continues.

    Difficulty level: Difficult. Time: 5 hours.
    Distance: 14 km. Difference in altitude: 520 m.
    Starting point: Col de la Couillole (1,678m)

    This is a long hike for experienced walkers. It crosses the vast undulating plateaux on the left bank of the Cians, offering an experience of immensity where man seems insignificant in the face of grandiose nature.
