Gréolières-Les-Neiges, the family-friendly ski resort with a sea view

Nestling at an altitude of 1400 m on the northern slopes of the Massif du Cheiron, the ski resort of Gréolières Les Neiges is 21 km as the crow flies from the sea and is the closest resort to the coast! Gréolières les Neiges offers you peace and quiet, typical Nordic activities, plenty of entertainment and exceptional panoramic views over the whole of the Côte d’Azur!

Gréolières les Neiges will open its doors on Saturday 20 December 2025 (depending on snow conditions).

Gréolières-Les-Neiges has 30km of downhill slopes and as many cross-country runs in a natural setting. The Gréolières-Les-Neiges ski area has something for everyone, with 4 green runs, 6 blue runs, 14 red runs and 2 black runs.

The Nordic Area

Tempted to explore the largest Nordic ski area in the Alpes-Maritimes? Head to Gréolières les Neiges to take advantage of the 30km of runs between 1400 and 1540m, winding through forests of majestic conifers. Take the opportunity to take a break with a breathtaking view of the Mercantour on the upper slopes.

The Nordic ski area also has an equipment hire service, so you’re sure to find something to suit your needs, with a wide range of classic and skating skis, snowshoes and sledges to choose from.

Distance: 2.5 km. Difference in altitude: 150 m.
Starting point: Gate 1

Take a forest path accessible to all walkers. Surrounded by forest and clearings, take a breath of fresh air without any difficulty.

  • La Croix de Verse

Level of difficulty: Easy. Duration: 3h30.
Distance: 7 km. Difference in altitude: 310 m.
Starting point: East end of the large car park at Gréolières les Neiges.

Leave your tracks on the wilderness trail of La Croix de Verse to discover a 360° panorama of the Côte d’Azur coastline and the peaks of the Mercantour Massif.

  • Cime du Cheiron

Level: medium. Duration: 7 hours.
Distance: 8 km. Difference in altitude: 400 m.
Departure point: East end of the large car park at Gréolières les Neiges.

Climb 1778 metres to the highest point in the Préalpes d’Azur Regional Nature Park. From the summit of Le Cheiron, admire the incomparable contrast between land and sea!
