A land of champions, Isola 2000 is the latest resort in the Alpes-Maritimes to open the doors to the Southern Alps! Just 1h30 from Nice, this border resort with Italy is situated between the Mercantour National Park and the Parco Alpi Marittime. Isola 2000 is at the heart of an exceptional territory in a protected and wild natural environment. More than just a ski resort, Isola 2000 offers exceptional benefits for winter sports fans: snow cover, sunshine, sea-view skiing and the rare privilege of being able to ski directly to the slopes or ski lifts once you’ve put your skis on. 50 years of riding at Isola 2000! Discover the must-see spots for snowboarders!

Thanks to its location and altitude, Isola 2000 is one of the snowiest ski resorts in the Southern Alps, offering guaranteed snow and sunshine from December to April. From an altitude of 1810 m to 2610 m, 120 km of pistes criss-cross the resort. There are 42 runs: 7 green runs, 22 blue runs, 11 red runs and 3 black runs. Isola 2000 is the freestyle resort par excellence, with a wide range of facilities including Tony’s Snowland in the Marmottes sector, the Biopark and the Boardercross, which are open every day from 10am to 4pm so you can discover new skiing sensations. For children, the Back to Back Club offers advanced courses from the age of 6.

Did you know? Back to Back is the most successful snowboard club in France! After Tony RAMOIN, bronze medallist in Vancouver in 2010, Julia PERREIRA won the silver medal in Korea in 2018.

Off-ski outdoor activities: get your adrenalin pumping!

Non-skiers? Throughout the season, the Isola 2000 ski resort offers a range of activities to suit all tastes, from relaxation to exploration and adrenalin! Relaxation guaranteed at the Mercantour Aquavallée aquatic centre or in the cosy cafés surrounding the ice rink on the snow front. Looking for thrills? Isola 2000 has plenty of surprises in store for you, with some exceptional Nordic activities. In a musher’s sledge, let yourself be guided through the resort to the rhythm of the sled dogs. Another activity not to be missed is snowmobiling! Drive a snowmobile on your own or with a friend in a magnificent setting, where the feeling of freedom and wide open spaces can be felt at every turn of the fir trees. Ice driving can also be on your to-do list of activities to discover this winter, so that you can perfect your skills and make sure that snow driving remains a pleasure.

Visit the white wolf sled dog park. Come and share a moment of relaxation and affection by meeting the Isola 2000 sled dogs. You’ll leave knowing everything there is to know about the history of the Nordic breeds, the pack and how it works.

The snowshoe night. Immerse yourself in the nocturnal spirit of the mountains during a two-hour walk in the heart of the valleys! With your headlamp (provided) and the guide’s company, feast around the campfire on a trapper’s barbecue served with Niçoise-style perugines, mulled wine or hot chocolate!

The family park. The whole family can have a great time in the children’s snowpark! Share a few moments on the slopes and enjoy the snowpark at all levels thanks to specially adapted areas.

Tobogganing area. There’s a sledging area at the Snow Front. Your children will be able to hurtle down the toboggan runs in complete safety and have lots of fun.

Isola 2000 well-being mornings. Take time out to recharge your batteries as a family! Every weekend during the season, practitioners from the Côte d’Azur come up to Isola 2000! On the programme: Yoga, Qi cong, Sophrology, meditation, aromatherapy, art therapy…

Musher the white wolf sleigh

Come and meet Lino, June, Naia, Mya, Jump, Nash and the other white wolves on the Musher sledge as they set off to conquer the summits! Experience a dog sled ride through the Nordic landscapes!

Mini ice rink on the Front de Neige

The new mini ice rink on the Front de Neige is run by snack bar La Guinguette. Slides, entertainment, activities – it’s all there for you to enjoy at the foot of the slopes!

Photo spot and video zone

Smile, you’re being filmed! A “video zone” with a viewing screen has been installed in the family park to capture your family moments! Just like at the top of the boardercross and snowpark, where you can now pose in front of the camera and get your photo back by e-mail by scanning your ski pass! So put on your best smile!

The Plein Sud chalets

For a luxurious stay with family or friends in the heart of the resort, in a warm, cocooning atmosphere combining tradition and modernity, come and stay in one of the six top-of-the-range 4 and 5* chalets.

Situated at the foot of the slopes, these spacious luxury chalets offer wellness facilities (spa, sauna, etc.) as well as a host of additional services, including a home chef, meal delivery and top-of-the-range concierge service.

The Grand Tour
Level of difficulty: Easy. Duration: 2 hours.
Altitude: 2,455 m. Difference in altitude: 465 m.
Departure point: Pélevos cable car.
A beautiful signposted path through the woods takes you up to the top of the ski area, offering a panoramic view of the skiing enthusiasts. The Grand Tour d’Isola 2000 is a spectacular sight to behold. To find out more

Col de la Lombarde
Level of difficulty: Easy. Time: 2h30.
Distance: 5.1 km. Difference in altitude: 350 m.
Starting point: Former customs chalet at Le Hameau.
Ideal for families, this south-facing signposted trail takes you to the summit of the Col de la Lombarde, where you’ll have one foot in France and the other in Italy. Just what you need! A resin sculpture of an ibex by local artist and carnival-goer Cédric Pignataro has dominated the summit since 2017. It’s a great way to take in some sensational scenery! Find out more

Tête Mercière
Level of difficulty: Medium. Time: 4h30.
Distance: 7 km. Difference in altitude: 450 m.
Starting point: top of Isola 2000 resort at “Le Hameau”.
Put on your snowshoes and follow this discovery trail to acclimatise yourself to the Isola 2000 alpine cirque. The Tête Mercière dominates the high valleys of Chastillon and Molières. To find out more
