The walk to the top of the Aiguilles de Pelens is ideal for snowshoe trekking, offering exceptional panoramic views over the Val d’Entraunes while avoiding the difficult summits.

Difficulty level: Medium. Time: 4h30.
Distance: 8 km. Difference in altitude: 530 m.
Starting point: From the Col des Champs road (1,580m).

The larch forests give way to the vast snowfields of the mountain pastures, creating a marked contrast with the imposing rocky peaks of the Pelens, Fréma and Dent de lièvre ranges during this snowshoe hike.
