BEUIL-LES LAUNES: THE ALPINE SETTING NEXT DOOR TO VALBERG

This versatile resort, open both in summer and winter, generously shares its ski area with its neighbour, Valberg. Nestled between 1430 and 2100 metres above sea level, this alpine setting offers no less than 55 alpine ski slopes totalling an impressive 90 kilometres of snow-covered runs. You can take 25 ski lifts, including 7 chairlifts, to explore this ski area with its varied landscapes that will delight winter sports enthusiasts, whether they are skiers or snowboarders.

For beginners looking for their first winter sports thrills, the 11 green slopes provide an ideal playground. Intermediate skiers can perfect their turns on the 13 blue slopes, time after time. The most accomplished skiers will enjoy the 22 red and 6 black slopes, alternating between tight bends and daring curves, in the heart of a ski area which offers a diversity of winter pleasures.

STRAP ON YOUR SNOWSHOES !

Plateau Saint-Jean

Difficulty level: Easy. Duration: 3 hours.

Distance: 3 km. Heightdifference: 200 m.

Startingpoint: Beuil-Les Launes, Col de Sainte-Anne (1551 metres).

An easy hike towards the Saint-Jean plateau offers views of the Cians peaks, with a stop at the restored Saint-Jean-Baptiste chapel (19th century), where the tradition of blessing the flocks continues during the annual pilgrimage in June.

Tête de Giarons

Difficultylevel: Difficult. Duration: 5 hours.

Distance: 14 km. Heightdifference: 520 m.

Startingpoint: Col de la Couillole (1678m)

This long hike is aimed at experienced walkers. It crosses the vast rolling plateaux of the left bank of the Cians, offering an experience of immensity where man seems insignificant in the face of such grandiose nature.
