THE ESSENTIALS OF ROUBION: WHAT YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULDN’T MISS

In Roubion, some experiences are absolutely unmissable.

You can’t leave the resort without tasting the delights of the local cuisine in the picturesque little chalets. Mountain specialities, such as Savoyard fondue and raclette, will warm you up after a day outdoors.

A visit to the village church, dating from the 12th century, is also an important stop. This historic church bears witness to the region’s rich cultural heritage.

The village’s cobbled lanes, lined with traditional stone houses, are a delight to explore, offering total immersion in the history and culture of Roubion.

STRAP ON YOUR SNOWSHOES FROM THE ROUBION RESORT!

Tour du Pin Pourri
Difficulty level: Easy. Duration: 2 hours.

Distance : 4,5 km. Height difference: 180 m.
Starting point : Col de la Couillole (1 678m)

Short introduction to snowshoeing which leads to the superb Pin Pourri lookout (1826 metres). From this central prominence on a slightly undulating plateau, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view.

Mont Brussière

Difficulty level: Medium. Duration 4 hr 30.

Distance: 4.5 km. Height difference: 320 m.

Starting point: Col de la Couillole (1678m)

This circuit, with no significant difficulties, offers a 360-degree perspective. Going down the eastern slope of the summit of Mont Mounier, you’ll discover the wild Vionène valley, where the charming hamlet of Vignols stands, an ancestral witness to transhumant pastoralism.

Tête de Giarons

Difficulty level: Difficult. Duration: 5 hours.

Distance: 14 km. Height difference: 520 m.

Starting point: Col de la Couillole (1678m)

This long hike is aimed at experienced walkers. It crosses the vast rolling plateaux of the left bank of the Cians, offering an experience of immensity where man seems insignificant in the face of majestic nature.
