Gourmet weekend in a mountain chalet

Enjoy a weekend in the heart of the Mercantour forests. On the program: snowshoe trekking, tasting of local produce and an overnight stay in a typical chalet in the village of Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage. A welcome return to our roots!

“Faites de la montagne

The winter edition of “Faites de la Montagne ” continues this year in Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage! Introduce yourself to mountain activities with events, hikes and discovery workshops over the weekend of February 5 and 6.

Snow trail

The Auron Trail Club association is organizing a snow trail on February 27. Two courses are available: a 10km course with a vertical drop of 430 metres, and a 21km course with a vertical drop of 900 metres. The white trail starts in front of the Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage tourist office.

Plateau de Pras

Level of difficulty: Easy. Duration: 2h30.
Distance: 7 km. Difference in altitude: 260 m.
Departure point: Car park in the village of Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage.

Head for the Sestrière valley, where a breathtaking view of the valley and village awaits you! Keep your eyes peeled for surprises: wildlife, typical buildings and larch forests – it’s a visual spectacle not to be missed!

Gianto circuit

Difficulty level: Easy. Duration: 3 hrs.
Distance: 6 km. Difference in altitude: 420 m.
Starting point: Car park in the village of Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage.

Discovery walk in the Sestriège woods. Follow the footprints of alpine fauna along the forest trails and catch a glimpse of the Gianto shelter along the way.

Claffournier plateau

Difficulty level: Medium. Duration: 2 hrs.
Distance: 3 km. Difference in altitude: 190 m.
Starting point: Car park in the village of Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage.

Discover the ancestral legend of the Claffournier cross. It is said that Saint-Dalmas jumped down and extinguished the flames with the breath of his great cape. On this hike, you’ll follow the path of Saint-Dalmas to an impregnable view of the village.
