Major events on the Côte d'Azur

Whether you’re a yachtsman, a water sports enthusiast or simply a boat lover, the shipyards outdo themselves every year to make you dream. From traditional sailing boats to luxury superyachts, there’s no shortage of events on the Côte d’Azur to take you on a voyage of discovery of this prestigious world.

Les Voiles d’Antibes

📅 From 4 to 8 June 2025
📍 Port Vauban d’Antibes

Since 1996, the Voiles d’Antibes has marked the opening of the Mediterranean circuit for traditional yachts. It’s here that, during the first week of June, the old rigs compete in a crazy race in the purest sporting tradition. Nearly 60 boats with 500 sailors on board battle it out to cross the finish line in their boats from another century. Adventure and luxury become one and the same as they set sail and the sound of the shrouds echoing off the masts.

At the south mole of the Port Vauban, enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike can admire these exceptional yachts and discover exhibitions by local artists.

While the many events invite young and old alike to discover the world of the sea, the Pré aux Pêcheurs esplanade takes on a whole new look as night falls. The musical evenings will transport you into an exceptional atmosphere in a breathtaking setting!

See you from 4 to 8 June 2025!

In the mild autumn of Cannes, the Régates Royales brings together the world’s finest traditional yachts in the Bay of Cannes. Whether you’re an amateur or an aficionado, the spectacle and atmosphere along the quays are exceptional, especially at the start of the races! Traditional sailing yachts, classic yachts, Tofinou, 5.5 Metre, Star and Dragon are all on show from 22 to 27 September in the Vieux Port.

The authenticity of the event lies in its incredible “lords of the sea”, as most of the boats are over a hundred years old. The aesthetics of these historic boats, which sail under the power of the wind and the arms of their crew of dozens of sailors, give this race a unique charm.

To get up close and personal with the spectacle, some shipping companies even offer boat trips to follow the yachts around the bay!

On the Quai Laubeuf, you can enjoy a wide range of activities and entertainment throughout the day and evening at the Village des Régates Royales de Cannes: a parade of the crews, tug-of-war, concerts and parties… The party goes on ashore as well as at sea!

Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez

📅 From 27 September to 5 October 2025
📍 Port de Saint-Tropez

Come and celebrate 25 years of Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez. For a fortnight, the famous little fishing village hosts three classes of yachts: a mix of prestigious traditional sailing boats and the most avant-garde racing prototypes of the moment.

The 2024 edition will be marked by some boats turning 50, 75 or 100 years old, joining the already long list of centenarians present. The Moderns provide an architectural counterpoint to these old ladies of yachting. All the Mediterranean’s prototypes, TP 52s and mini-Maxis will be in Saint-Tropez for top-level regattas on these yachts dedicated exclusively to performance.

Once again, they’ll be up against the Maxis, the third lifeblood of the Voiles, which are competing with all their might to keep the event going. This class of yachts over 60 feet includes the marvellous Wally as well as super-yachts from all over the world, some of which are over 35 metres long. The spectacle promises to be grandiose, with these boats launched at full speed, the precise movements of the crew and the wind in the sails.

To experience the event in Saint-Tropezfrom 27 September to 5 October in total immersion and watch the crews manoeuvre from the front row, opt for a day at sea during the Voiles de Saint-Tropez. Colours, sounds, atmosphere, breeze and lunch at sea all come together to make this a memorable moment in one of the most beautiful bays on the Côte d’Azur. On land, the official Voiles de Saint-Tropez village lets you get inspired by the unique atmosphere!
