Over the course of around ten evenings in the summer, Monaco, Cannes, Antibes and Fréjus compete to outdo one another in creativity with their fireworks festivals! This tradition of fireworks continues to be hugely popular, with half an hour of spectacular displays lighting up the skies over the Côte d’Azur. Discover these fireworks festivals that are not to be missed this summer on the Côte d’Azur.

Cannes

FIREWORKS FESTIVAL

Every summer, the world’s finest pyrotechnicians light up the Bay of Cannes.

Around twenty countries have already been represented in Cannes with open-air fireworks displays, each more spectacular than the last. And every summer, we’re left wanting more!

When it comes to pyrotechnics, Cannes has always been at the forefront. The Cannes Fireworks Festival is one of the most renowned in the world. Every summer, six displays are put on by the world’s finest pyrotechnicians, offering dazzling spectacles. More than 150,000 people, gazing skywards, come to admire these fleeting creations, which the world’s greatest pyrotechnicians display under the starry skies of Cannes from July to the end of August. Cannes is one of the must-see fireworks festivals on the Côte d’Azur.

MONACO ART IN THE SKY

Every summer, Monaco Art en Ciel puts on breathtaking fireworks and musical fireworks displays!

Monaco Art en Ciel kicked off with bouncy castles for the children, before continuing with music from a DJ and a pop-rock band, creating a festive atmosphere that lasted well into the night.

Summer is the perfect time for long evenings outdoors at the Port of Monaco, where the fireworks provide a dazzling pyrotechnic and pyromelodic display, to the delight of young and old alike. A high-powered sound system is set up across the whole of Port Hercule, so you can enjoy the show to the full from Quai Albert Ier.

Among the best vantage points are Avenue d’Ostende, Fort Antoine and its amphitheatre, or the Route du Mont des Mules for a view from above.

Unmissable events to be spellbound beneath the stars, at the heart of the Monegasque summer.

MENTON, THE RIVIERA & WONDERS

NIGHTS OF THE SUN

In 2026, three events awaited the public along the Menton coastline, promising evenings full of magic and wonder.

In Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, on Friday 14 August 2026, the ‘Promenade en Fête!’ offered a festive evening: parades and entertainment by the sea, music, dancing and a seafront closed to traffic for the occasion, followed by an enchanting fireworks display on the theme ‘Like a Dream’. A joyful, family-friendly atmosphere that was greatly appreciated.

In Menton, the seafront hosted an exceptional evening with free concerts and entertainment, followed by a moving fireworks display on the theme of ‘Memory’, accompanied by famous film scores linked to the Second World War. The event took place on the Promenade du Soleil from 9.00 pm, with the fireworks display launching from the bay at 10.30 pm. (Date to be confirmed)

Antibes

THE PYROMELODIC FESTIVAL

In 2026, four evenings of fireworks awaited you on the Côte d’Azur as part of the Antibes Pyromélodique Festival.

A spectacle brimming with magic, combining light and sound effects in the Bay of Juan-les-Pins, watched intently by over 10,000 people.

One notable feature of this festival is that three evenings take place in Juan-les-Pins Bay in Antibes, with a final evening on the Brague beaches (Route du bord de mer) to bring the summer season to a spectacular close…

FIREWORKS IN THE GULF OF NAPOULE

The summer programme in Mandelieu-La Napoule promises to be eclectic and festive.

With shows, night markets, idyllic walks and musical open-air venues, every evening will be an opportunity to savour the summer in a well-preserved and friendly setting, particularly around the banks of the Siagne and the Gulf of La Napoule.

The Place du Château will host ‘Les Dames de Cœur’, a free fireworks display to enjoy with family or friends. The evening will continue with a DJ set, so you can make the most of a festive moment in the heart of summer.

An Unforgettable Evening to Round Off the Summer

Villeneuve-Loubet’s Port Marina was transformed into a veritable venue for celebration for“Marina en Fête!” The evening marked the end of the summer season in style, coinciding with the summer’s final night market, held on the Croisette at Port Marina, which was closed to traffic for the event.

From 7 pm, the crowd enjoyed a festive atmosphere, fuelled by a free concert by “Tribune to Rolling Stone”, before a spectacular fireworks display lit up the evening. Food stalls, a drinks bar and fish soup rounded off this delicious and convivial event.

With free entry and free entertainment, ‘Marina en Fête!’ was the unmissable event for a memorable end to the summer.

Golfe-Juan and Vallauris

a dazzling fireworks display over the Plages du Midi

On Wednesday 15 July 2026 at 10.15 pm, the sky over Golfe-Juan Vallauris will light up with a fireworks display launched from Picasso Beach. Against this iconic seaside backdrop, spectators will be able to enjoy a spectacular summer event, with bursts of colour, reflections on the Mediterranean and a convivial atmosphere under the stars.

Seated facing the sea, with family or friends, young and old alike will experience a festive and dazzling occasion, perfect for savouring summer on the Côte d’Azur.

Don’t miss the 14 July Ball either: come and celebrate France’s national day in a festive and friendly atmosphere at a free open-air dance. Meet at 9.00 pm in the courtyard of the Espace Grandjean, Boulevard des Deux Vallons, Vallauris. Free entry.

7 fireworks displays throughout the summer!

Throughout the summer, the ‘Nuits de Port-Fréjus’pyrotechnics festival takes place on Friday evenings, featuring six fireworks displays set off from the harbour quays.
As night falls, the water in Fréjus harbour acts as a mirror in this beautiful setting. At 10.30 pm, the show begins!

Sound, light, colour… Enjoy a magical evening with this unique night-time spectacle after a stroll around the harbour or along the seafront!

The fireworks displays took place in Port-Fréjus on 14, 20 and 27 July and on 3, 10, 17 and 24 August 2026 at 10.30 pm, offering a truly spectacular celestial display.
