Salon Littéraire de Colomars :

An Unmissable Encounter with Literature and Creation

The Colomars Book Fair is back in force for its third edition! Following on from last year’s success, this eagerly-awaited literary event will take place on Sunday 16 November 2025 from 10am to 6pm, in the inspiring atmosphere of the Salle Baùma in the Fort Casal.

More than 70 local authors will be on hand to share their works and chat with visitors, as well as leading publishers and booksellers. Discover a rich and varied programme, with literary cafés, creative workshops for children, and musical entertainment to punctuate this exceptional cultural day.

A multi-genre literary fair

The Salon Littéraire de Colomars brings together a wide range of literary genres, from crime novels to autobiographical fiction, fantasy, poetry, science fiction and even works on well-being and local cuisine.

Local publishers such as Baie des Anges, Giletta, Campanile, Encre de Siagne and Citadelles et Mazenod will be showcasing their latest releases.

Booksellers and the Lyon’s Club will also be joining the event to offer visitors a diverse selection of literature.

This year’s guest of honour is celebrated children’s author Susie Morgenstern.

Her charm and humour promise to brighten up the day and inspire youngsters to dive into the world of reading.

Literary Cafés and lectures to explore literature

One of the highlights of this year’s event will be four literary cafés hosted by renowned historian and lecturer Richard Pogliano. The discussions will cover a wide range of fascinating subjects:

In the morning:

  • Comics, a tool for historical memory “, with authors including Bertorello Y., Minery J-F, JAL, and Bellagamba U.
  • Artificial intelligence and its limits in literature “, with contributions from Dague P., Deloupy B. and Luminey I.

Afternoon session:

  • Father Christmas’s strike “, narrated by Susie Morgenstern, followed by her reading advice for children and an interview with a class of CM1.
  • Women, writing and freedom “, with the participation of authors Olympia Alberti, Martine Gasquet and Alice Sola.

A friendly atmosphere around Creative Workshops and Mini-Conferences

The Salon Littéraire de Colomars offers a varied and exciting programme of activities for all ages. Younger visitors will be able to try their hand atart thanks to creative workshops, including a modelling workshop led by illustrator Catherine Caroff and an introduction to pop-up art with Florence Schumpp. At the same time, there will be enriching mini-conferences, with Christine Bovari celebrating the 150th anniversary of Colomars and Bernard Deloupy tackling the current subject of disinformation.

The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by musical entertainment led by teachers from the Nice Conservatoire, as well as a flash mob organised by Thibault Durant. At 12.30pm, an aperitif of honour offered by the municipality will follow the welcome speech by the Mayor, creating a convivial moment for meeting and exchanging ideas.
