Salon Littéraire de Colomars :

An Unmissable Encounter with Literature and Creation

Following the resounding success of its 2ᵉ edition, the Colomars Book Fair is back in force on Sunday 16 November 2025, from 10am to 6pm, at the Salle Baùma in the Fort Casal. More than 70 talented local authors will be on hand to share their worlds, accompanied by several publishers – Baie des Anges, Mémoires Millénaires, Campanile, Encre de Siagne, Des mots dans une valise – as well as booksellers, the Lions Club and the Fédération des Associations du Comté de Nice.

A multi-genre literary fair

All literary genres will be on show: poetry, crime fiction, autobiography, history, social studies, science fiction, fantasy, sport, cookery, local produce, well-being, comics, manga and children’s literature.
This year’s event will be enhanced by two special guests:

Jean-Pierre Dirick, comic strip illustrator, animated film director and scriptwriter, famous for his work on Antenne 2 and Pif Gadget.
André Marro, associate lecturer at Nice-Sophia-Antipolis University, anthropologist and human resources engineering consultant, author of L’incroyable sagesse du grand âge.

A new feature: the Prix de la Colombe Littéraire

A major first this year: the creation of the Short Story Prize, entitled Le Prix de la Colombe Littéraire.

This competition, reserved for authors taking part in the Show, will reward the best writers with a sculpture for the 1st Prize and diplomas for the 2ᵉ and 3ᵉ Prizes. The winning short story will be read in public before the official presentation of the awards by the Mayor, Isabelle Brès.

Literary Cafés and lectures to explore literature

The dynamic historian and lecturer Richard Pogliano will be hosting four literary cafés on a variety of themes:

Morning:

  • Niçoise cuisine and respect for tradition with Pascal Coletta and Sylvain Torlasco, master restaurateur with the “Pan Bagnat” label.
  • The history of a football club with Diego Noto, president of Cavigal.

Afternoon session:

  • Philosophy and non-ordinary states of consciousness with André Marro, Guy Boscagli and Michel Saramito.
  • The Pif Gadget years with Jean-Pierre Dirick.

Creative workshops and mini-lectures in a friendly atmosphere

Throughout the day, children will be able to take part in creative workshops, including a modelling and pop-up workshop led by illustrator Catherine Caroff (La Petite Niçoise).

An aperitif hosted by the municipality will be followed by a welcome speech by the Mayor, Isabelle Brès, at around 12.30pm, accompanied by Gérard Steyer.
