From October 22 to 25, the International Fantasy Film Festival will celebrate its 10th edition at L’Odyssée Municipal Library and then at the Palais de l’Europe.

As part of this initiative, the Festival is introducing a new voting system and entrusting its awards to the collective judgment of film industry professionals who are present and accredited during the event. “Inspired by the principle of major film academies, this system is based on a conviction: to make the awards a reflection of a professional, diverse, and independent perspective,” explains Fabrice Ceccherini, the festival’s founder and organizer. Accredited professionals who have attended the various screenings and viewed all the films in competition will be invited to join the Professional Panel and take part in the Festival’s official voting. ” Directors, producers, actors, screenwriters, distributors, programmers, and film industry professionals will thus, through their votes, bring together their sensibilities, experiences, and perspectives on the films presented. Following the screenings, their votes will determine the official list of winners in five categories: Best Feature Film Award / Best Short Film Award / Best Very Short Film Award / Best Actor Award / Best Actress Award By opting for an expanded panel rather than a traditional, select jury, the Festival aims to give its awards a collective dimension that reflects the diversity of the film world. Every vote counts. Every perspective contributes to the list of winners.
