Description
Since 2018, the Urban Planning and Architecture Forum has been showcasing films that offer fresh perspectives on architecture, the city, and the landscape. Immerse yourself in evocative visual narratives created by architects, artists, and documentary filmmakers.
With “Atmosphérique, Filming Architecture,” he takes it even further. He transforms his exhibition halls into intimate, immersive journeys through art films and videos, across three consecutive sessions (April/October) featuring more than thirty works from France and around the world—most of them never before shown in Nice— throughout a spring and summer dedicated to architecture and cinema. Art films, fiction, sociological portraits, satires of corporate films, experimental videos, dance films, and social essays will thus illustrate the many possible angles from which to approach, understand, and engage with the world around us. Since architecture and cinema are both forms of expressing movement in space, let us allow ourselves to be fearlessly transported to the four corners of the world by the flow of all these images.
While the exhibition is being presented simultaneously in Taipei by arc en rêve architecture center—the creator of the original exhibition—this presentation in Nice has been reimagined by and for the Forum, with a significantly revised program that includes both national and international works as well as filmmakers rooted in our region.
Throughout the exhibition, a program of events and educational activities will offer visitors the opportunity to explore the works in greater depth and engage in dialogue with some of the filmmakers.
