Description
This year, Port-Cros National Park and the PACA League for the Protection of Birds (LPO PACA) are inviting people of all ages to take part in a citizen science initiative entitled ‘Encountering Little Owls’ within the National Park.
Join us on an outing to discover the region’s nocturnal birds of prey, including one of the smallest among them, the Scops Owl.
What are the differences between owls and barn owls?
How are they adapted to nocturnal life?
How do they spot their prey in the twilight?
Nocturnal birds of prey will hold no more secrets for you. A night-time walk to listen for the Scops Owl will be organised to round off the evening. You can then let us know about any sightings you’ve made near your home.
Please bring walking shoes. (A short walk of a few hundred metres)
Children are welcome to join in.
The meeting point will be announced shortly before the outing.
