Autour du pointu" exhibition at Port Miramar

Come and discover the large-format photography exhibition, drawn from private collections of postcards and photographs belonging to London families, and dedicated to the maritime heritage of La Londe-les-Maures. Three series of 10 panels will be on display until the end of March 2027. Until 18 September, the exhibition highlighted the ‘pointus’ – traditional fishing boats – and the ‘cabanons’ of L’Argentière, which bear witness to the lives of fishermen and, with the introduction of the first paid holidays, places for get-togethers, holidays and socialising with family or friends. Since 19 September, the second series of the exhibition has focused on traditional sea fishing. Finally, from 11 December, Port Miramar and the jetties at the mine and the Bormettes factory will be showcased. “A discovery for some, memories for others and no doubt a touch of nostalgia for many” (JF, member of the ALPHA association). An exhibition organised by the Town of La Londe and the Tourist Office, designed by the associations A.L.P.H.A. (Action Londaise pour le Patrimoine, l’Histoire et l’Archéologie) and Tonton Roger.
