The lieutenant is unequivocal: the two performers will put on a show to the delight of Franco’s soldiers, as well as for a group of Republican prisoners whom they are about to execute. Determined to escape, Carmela and Paulino will stop at nothing! Sketches, cabaret acts, songs, and dances will follow one after another in this wild story. All’s well that ends well! Except that Carmela can’t bear the thought of twelve audience members being executed at the end of the show…
