BÉJART BALLET LAUSANNE

The legacy of a legend this summer in Cannes! Founded in 1987 in Lausanne by Maurice Béjart, the Béjart Ballet Lausanne has become an international benchmark in dance. A leading figure of the 20th century, Béjart developed a visionary body of work whose influence continues to shape dance today. Following Gil Roman, who served as artistic director until 2024, the company – comprising 39 dancers of 19 different nationalities – is now led by Julien Favreau, a former soloist who was synonymous with Béjart’s repertoire. Building on his legacy, he preserves the master’s heritage whilst infusing it with a modernity rooted in the present.
