Description
"C’est pas Classique" is a classical music festival—though not exclusively—organized by the Alpes-Maritimes Department in several municipalities within its territory.
The idea is simple: to make classical music more accessible by breaking with traditional conventions, all in a friendly atmosphere open to everyone—free of charge.
The festival program includes:
Classical music concerts,
Reimagined symphonic performances,
Collaborations with artists from other genres (jazz, pop, contemporary music),
Original productions blending orchestra and contemporary artists,
A program for young audiences,
A side festival.
The C’est pas Classique festival is also open to children and families:
Through workshops, film-concerts, and musical storytelling—in collaboration with the Cannes National Orchestra, among others—even the youngest attendees get to enjoy their own musical interlude.
The festival takes you to iconic venues across the Maritime Alps’ cultural landscape:
the Palais Nikaïa, the Opera House, the Palais de la Méditerranée, the Palais des Rois Sardes in Nice, the Théâtre Anthéa in Antibes, the Scène 55 in Mougins, the Théâtre de Grasse, the Auditorium des Arlucs in Cannes...
The festival also comes to you!
Each year, new towns are selected to expand the reach of “C’est pas Classique” even further: Cap d’Ail, Carros, Lucéram, Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Pégomas, Puget-Théniers, Saint-Martin-Vésubie, Tourrette-Levens, Vence, as well as Le Rouret and Villars-sur-Var…
