Chifumi is loosely based on the Odyssey, not to retell the story but to capture its essence: the journey, discovery, and unexpected encounters.

Chifumi is loosely inspired by the Odyssey of Ulysses, not to retell the story but to capture its essence: the journey, the discovery, and the unexpected encounters. The idea is to convey its spirit, its power, and its sense of vertigo, to open up a space of sensations where adventure is experienced rather than merely described. Hands, leaves, pebbles, and scissors dance and are reflected in a large horizontal mirror that splits reality in two, allowing for greater play with the imagination… A character swept up in a fantastical epic, encountering strange animals and immense beings, where he will overcome his fears and, little by little, find his way back. Object theater and magic workshop based on the show at 1:30 p.m. Presented as part of the Les Buissonnières 2026 festival.
