Commemoration of August 15th, 1944.
15 August marks the anniversary of the Provence Landings (1944).
On this day, it is important to remember and honour all those who fought for freedom.
Please gather at the Liberation Roundabout in Port Grimaud, then proceed to the War Memorial in the village to take part in the ceremonies.
- 9.00 am Ceremony in Port Grimaud, at the Landing Memorial.
- 9.45 am Wreath-laying at the Rond-Point de la Libération.
- 11.30 am Gathering in front of the Town Hall.
- 11.45 am Ceremony at the War Memorial.
