Description
Concert by Chloé CHAUME (soprano), Valentine LEMERCIER (mezzo-soprano), and Emmanuel ROSSFELDER (guitar) in a program titled “Great Lyric Arias,” featuring interludes of pieces by Spanish composers
Chloé CHAUME began her career at the Opéra de Tours, where she sang numerous roles. She played Lauretta (The Betrothal in the Convent) in May 2015 at the Capitole de Toulouse, where she was invited back for the Christmas concert. Since then, she has taken on roles at major opera houses. In 2022, she appeared on the program *Musiques en fête*, broadcast live from the Chorégies d’Orange on France 3. Most recently, she performed in Britten’s *Les Illuminations* and in a concert as part of the Chorégies d’Orange in July 2025.
After studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in the United States, Valentine LEMERCIER joined the CNIPAL for the 2013–2014 season. She quickly made her debut at numerous French and international opera houses, including those in Toulon and Lyon. She has also performed at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Chorégies d’Orange, on France 3’s *Musiques en Fêtes*, and in Brazil. At the Paris Opera, she portrayed Mercédès in *Carmen* at the Bastille and Adèle in *Il Pirata* at the Garnier, among other roles.
At age 14, Emmanuel ROSSFELDER became the youngest guitarist ever admitted to Alexandre LAGOYA’s class at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. From that point on, a special relationship developed between the master and his student, and LAGOYA provided him with instruction based on a specific right-hand technique that he had developed with Ida PRESTI. Emmanuel ROSSFELDER was unanimously awarded two First Prizes at the CNSM in Paris (in guitar and chamber music). Beginning in 1998, Emmanuel Rossfelder distinguished himself by winning numerous awards, including, in 2004, a Victoire de la Musique Classique in the “Instrumental Soloist Revelation of the Year” category. In addition to his career as a concert artist, Emmanuel ROSSFELDER teaches at the École Normale de Musique de Paris.
