Concert : "Sérénades d'un soir d'été"

The quartet comprises Gabriele OLIVETI on violin, Chiara OLIVETI on viola, Alberto DRUFUCA on cello and Philippe DEPETRIS on flute. The ensemble brings together three renowned soloists from the Italian music scene, joined by flautist Philippe Depetris, a performer who plays a unique role as a cultural ambassador and bridge between the works and the audience. A unique ensemble in which the Italian string tradition meets the elegance of the French school of flute playing in a dialogue between breath and bow. An original journey ranging from a trio by Boccherini to two of Rossini’s famous ‘a quattro’ sonatas, brimming with brilliance and virtuosity, via Mozart’s celebrated Quartet in D major K 285, a jubilant gem of galant music. A work whose climax is a radiant adagio. From the flute’s timbre emerge pizzicato strings, creating an atmosphere of rare lightness… Musical delight is on the programme!
