Vines have been cultivated on Île Saint‐Honorat since the Middle Ages.
Today, twenty‐five monks, who follow the rule of Saint Benedict, carry on this tradition and live modestly from the products of their vines and the fabrication of liqueurs.
Today, twenty‐five monks, who follow the rule of Saint Benedict, carry on this tradition and live modestly from the products of their vines and the fabrication of liqueurs.
They cultivate eight hectares of vines, using the best grape varieties, on Île Saint-Honorat, off Cannes.
The reputation of the great wines produced by the monks’ work transcends borders. The grape varieties used in the wine production are rigorously selected. Thanks to the careful work of the monks, great vintages are produced, recognized as some of the finest French wines and best vintages of the region by the top Michelin‐starred chefs.
