Landscape architect Gilles Clément has designed Le Jardin des Méditerranées, an invitation to travel through the world's Mediterranean landscapes (California, Chile, South Africa, Australia, the Mediterranean Basin, the Canaries) and landscapes with more arid or subtropical climates (Mexico, Asia, New Zealand, subtropical America).
"To discover this garden is to feel some of the emotions experienced by a botanical explorer surveying the planet!"
The Domaine du Rayol offers daily discovery tours, themed tours, activities for families, training courses for individuals and professionals, temporary exhibitions, seasonal celebrations, a plant festival, an underwater trail and musical evenings (classical and Mediterranean music) in summer.
Permanent exhibitions "De la villégiature au Jardin des Méditerranées de Gilles Clément" at the Villa Rayolet and on the marine environment at the Maison de la Plage.
On site, you'll find a restaurant-tea room "Le Café des Jardiniers", France's largest "nature" bookshop and an ecological nursery.
Domaine du Rayol is open every day, all year round (except December 25).
