‘Duos on the Sofa’ – Beaulieu on Stage

Bernard, a lawyer, and Jacqueline, a dentist, decide to separate. However, both run their practices from the family home, and neither is willing to give up their space. By mutual agreement, the couple decide to divide the flat into two equal parts. This imaginary boundary, running down the middle of the shared living room, will be marked by a red ribbon laid across the sofa. Naturally, the former spouses have no qualms about moving on with their lives. But living under the same roof promises to be turbulent. Fortunately, a shrewd and ever-present servant will come up with a host of solutions to resolve the problems. A delightful comedy full of misunderstandings and twists and turns, a classic of boulevard theatre by the best-selling author of *Boeing Boeing*.
