Founded in October 1996, the Federation of Associations of the County of Nice initially comprised about ten associations. Its mission was to preserve, promote, and develop all aspects of Nice’s culture in the broadest sense—that is, from the coast to the highest peaks of the County.
Over the past thirty years, the Federation’s activities have expanded to include: preserving architectural heritage, promoting the Nissart language, and participating in various traditional and cultural events (May festivities, book festivals, the Cougourdons, etc.).
It also publishes “l’armanac nissart,” a free magazine that features associations, their activities, thematic articles, local recipes, and more.
Thanks to its growing influence, the Federation now includes 76 associations. It has become a key player in Nice’s cultural scene as well as an important intermediary between local publishers and the general public.
