Description
"LA VIGNE EN ROSE" Exhibition (6th edition)
Let’s celebrate—with laughter and joy—the vineyards and wine that are inseparable from our village, through the humorous drawings of the very talented Michel Bridenne.
Michel Bridenne was born in Rabat, Morocco, in 1946. As a political cartoonist, he has worked for publications as diverse as *Pilote*—where he joined the editorial staff in 1970—*Lui*, *L’Echo des Savanes*, *Charlie*, *Siné Hebdo*, *L’Idiot International*, *VSD*, *Que Choisir?*, L’Expansion, Télérama, Sciences et vie, 60 Millions de Consommateurs, Le Point, Chorus, and Vélo Magazine... Michel Bridenne also illustrated numerous TV shows, including Michel Polac’s “Droit de Réponse,” and exhibited his drawings around the world, starting with Paris (at Beaubourg), as well as in Tokyo, New York, and Glasgow...
Alongside his career as a press cartoonist, Bridenne has also worked in comics. The 1982 publication of his graphic novel “La saison des Amours” by Glénat cemented his reputation in the ten or so countries that had the good taste to publish a version of it. We could also mention *Ubu Bar* with Rollin and *Faites vos jeux* with Serre…
Opening reception on Friday, October 9, starting at 6:30 p.m., with the artist in attendance.
