Description
A painter based in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, Margot Luce draws her inspiration from the Mediterranean and the encounters it brings.
Under her brush, sea turtles, dolphins, sperm whales, jellyfish, and octopuses become ambassadors of a world as fascinating as it is fragile.
Created primarily in acrylic on canvas, her paintings play with shades of blue, contrasts of light, and vast open spaces to recreate the sensations experienced underwater: the light filtering through the surface, the silence of the depths, the fluid movement of marine animals, and that sense of immersion that invites us to slow down and contemplate.
The exhibition is part of her series *L'Or des profondeurs* (*The Gold of the Depths*), an artistic exploration of Mediterranean marine biodiversity, through which the artist seeks to highlight the richness and fragility of the underwater world.
