Description
Alan Rodríguez explores the boundaries between the infinitely intimate and the infinitely vast in paintings where memory, the cosmos, and imagination engage in a dialogue.
Alan Rodríguez (born 1991 in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico) is a painter whose work explores the relationships between memory, the imagination, and the invisible forces that shape our perception of the world. Trained in archaeology at the National School of Anthropology and History (ENAH), he applies an approach inspired by archaeological excavation to his painting, where each stroke becomes a stratum revealing buried narratives and inner landscapes. Winner of the Guanajuato State Emerging Artist Award in 2018 and 2019, he has participated in numerous exhibitions and artistic collaborations in Mexico, Italy, Canada, and Greece.
