From 21 November to 6 December, under the artistic direction of Didier Deschamps, the 2026 edition of the Cannes – Côte d’Azur Dance Festival will bring together the main venues in the city of Cannes and the surrounding region.
Around the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, 9 cultural structures from the Alpes-Maritimes and the Var are united: Anthéa (Antibes), Cineum (Cannes), Forum Jacques Prévert (Carros), Scène 55 (Mougins), Théâtre de Grasse, Théâtres en Dracénie (Draguignan), Théâtre La Licorne (Cannes), Théâtre Le Forum - Estérel Côte d'Azur (Fréjus) and Théâtre National de Nice.
Now more than ever, the Cannes - Côte d’Azur Dance Festival throws open its doors and windows to the world. It celebrates what sets us apart and transforms these differences into a collective treasure.
Dance has this unique power to touch the very depths of both those who practise it and those who watch it. The diversity of bodies sharing the stage, the plurality of imaginations on offer—never imposed—constitute the best antidote to the dark passions of isolation, the stigmatisation of difference and the rejection of others.
Dance is a celebration.
From 21 November to 6 December 2026, we will celebrate all its diversity with 25 companies from 11 countries, including a spotlight on faraway Australia!
This new edition bears witness to an international choreographic vitality and maps out a veritable globe of movement, where aesthetics intersect, from the most intimate gesture to the most powerful collective outbursts.
Music will be one of the festival’s key themes. Iconic symphonic works and reimagined scores will interact with contemporary sound compositions, live percussion, breath sounds, voices and jazz rhythms. These are all ways of renewing the relationship between rhythm and movement, and of exploring listening and vibration...
This edition will also give pride of place to choral works, assertive female perspectives, and new generations of dancers as well as established artists. Particular attention will be paid to young audiences, ensuring that dance remains an art of transmission and awakening.
At the Cineum, MOV’IN Cannes, the video dance competition co-directed by Éric Oberdorff, will offer a sensitive, inventive perspective on dance on screen.
Beyond the performances, film screenings, masterclasses and round-table discussions will enrich the experience. A Giga Barre will be open every Sunday near the Croisette, inviting amateurs and the curious to get hands-on with movement, turning the practice into a space for meeting and sharing.
Don’t miss this now annual event and share your passion for dance with us!
Join in the dance, enjoy the festivities!
