Description
From the sea to the mountains, the Festival des Mots invites you on a journey through the Alpes-Maritimes, with stops in Cap d’Ail, Villeneuve-Loubet, Biot, Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Gattières, Puget-Théniers, Venanson, and Valberg.
“Traveling without encountering others isn’t traveling—it’s just moving from place to place.” This quote from Alexandra David-Néel perfectly captures the spirit of the Alpes-Maritimes Festival of Words and its theme.
This festival features extraordinary encounters between actors and an ever-changing audience, taking place in different venues—sometimes unusual, but always welcoming. These are unique moments of shared experience to be enjoyed under the stars on summer nights, set against the backdrop of the department’s coastline and mountains.
The guest actors have made it a priority to bring with them, for each performance, texts that invite us to travel, to escape, and to dream… These wonderful storytellers participating in this year’s Festival take us to distant lands as well as to the landscapes of Provence, drawing us into the world of literature with humor or solemnity, tenderness or derision, and sometimes even with love.
